 School Saving Scheme could be encouraged by each child creating their own ceramic money box. Specially small children in their first years of Primary schools love to used them and proudly will donate a gold coin every week.

We are looking forward to the finished Wall Mural! This school has put a lot of effort into their master piece using approx. 550 tiles, which will be stunning inside their school hall. How did they do it?  Each child has drawn a self portrait with a black marker on the white paper supplied. Then they arranged the pictures and spraypainted a wash over the top of the faces to create a colourful background image. Member Tiles or Name Tiles The surf lifesaving club is a community meeting place. Through educating our youngsters about beach safety and awareness from Nippers into doing patrol duty on their own one day, it is undeniable that lifesavers make our beaches a lot safer. Having children myself, who have gone through the Nippers program, I am only too grateful for our coastal lifesaving community. As little 8 year olds, they donned their orange caps and learnt about rips, currents, ocean animals and basic first aid. Flags was a favourite, as were the long sand runs. But what made my heart race was seeing them hop onto long boards and learn how to navigate the waves. Their little orange heads bopping out behind the break line made me feel immensely proud and at-ease knowing that there were senior volunteers teaching as well as looking after my kids – who now go out and surf on their own. They are now also giving back, having gained their medallions and do voluntary patrols. But...
